About the Education Foundation of WCPS
Founded in 2009 the Education Foundation of WCPS was created to strengthen community involvement and support for public education in Washington County, Maryland. Since then, we have been dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships that enrich the educational experiences of students and teachers alike.
The mission of the Education Foundation of WCPS is to enhance education for all students by securing resources to support innovative teaching and learning. As a catalyst for uniting schools and their communities, we inspire meaningful connections that empower education and drive student success.
By collaborating with schools, families, alumni, local businesses, and civic organizations, we work to create opportunities that make a lasting impact. Our community makes this possible by supporting educational activities not typically funded by tax dollars.
The foundation is guided by a dynamic Board of Directors comprised of parents, business and civic leaders, and WCPS staff. Together, they bring diverse perspectives and a shared commitment to advancing education throughout Washington County.
