Looking for a way to encourage a love for reading in your child? Look no further than the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! This program provides free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five.
When you sign up for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, your child will receive a FREE book in the mail every month. These books are carefully selected by a team of experts to be engaging, fun, and educational for young children. Reading to your child from an early age has been shown to support their cognitive development, language skills, and early literacy skills.
You must live in WASHINGTON COUNTY, MARYLAND to sign up for the Dolly Parton program through THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF WCPS. If you live in a different area, visit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library website to find your local program.

The Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is made possible through the generosity of The Community Foundation of Washington County, donors and, community partners. While the program is free for families, each child’s yearly cost for the program is $40 a year.
If you would like to cover the cost of your child’s books, or help another child receive them, you can make a donation here.
Every gift helps keep this program free and available for all children in Washington County, from birth to age five.
