What is an Education Foundation?

Education Foundations are separate non-profit organizations designed to support schools and school systems through programs, funding and community involvement. Click here for an in depth article from the School Superintendents Association on education foundations. 

How will my donation help support education in my community?

Please browse our Innovative Grants, Super Readers and Financial Literacy program pages for a better understanding of the impact your charitable donation will have on your community. Success Stories also highlight the many wonderful projects and programs the Education Foundation has supported over the years. 

How do I donate?

Donations can be made here. For corporate sponsorships or specific program donations please contact us at info@educationfoundationofwcps.org

Are you a non-profit organization?

Yes. The Education Foundation of WCPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our Federal Tax Identification Number is 26-4370163.

Are you part of Washington County Public Schools?

The Education Foundation of WCPS exists to support WCPS, but we are a separate non-profit organization.

I am a WCPS educator with an innovative idea, how do I apply for a grant?

The grant application period is January-March annually. Check back here during that time to apply.
